Learning Community Guidelines

This blog is for anyone interested in creating trauma-sensitive schools.  Members of our learning community are welcome to contribute comments and feedback. We ask that any commenters follow our community guidelines so that we can create a vibrant learning community. Any comment that does not conform to community guidelines is subject to removal.

Show respect

This is a place for open and engaging debate and conversation. If you disagree with a post, the author or another commenter we ask that you keep your commentary respectful.

Stay on Topic

When making a comment, please keep all comments on the topic at hand. We ask that you refrain from making personal comments about other commenters. Please discuss the merits and ideas of the blog itself.  We welcome all original thoughts and comments about the blog, please do not post others work or thoughts without proper attribution.

Be polite

Insults, racism, name-calling, hate speech, sexism or obscenity will not be tolerated and any comment containing this language is subject to removal.

Be responsible

Please only post your own thoughts, reactions and opinions.

Restrain from engaging in arguments

We understand that you may not agree with every blog or comment posted. If you encounter a troll, someone who is consistently hostile or provocative, please do not engage with them. Report their comments by emailing carmstrong@massadvocates.org

Do not post spam or ads 

Any spam or advertising content will be removed. We will also remove comments soliciting sales of books, videos or other programs or services.

Do not post confidential or identifying information

We hope the comments of this blog serve as a place to share experiences, ideas and opinions. However, any comments containing identifying information about a school, student or family will be removed. We are unable to offer information or advice for individual children through the blog.

We reserve the right to remove comments and ban users

While the comments on this blog are not fully moderated, we do pay close attention to them. We reserve the right delete comments that do not conform to community standards.  If a commenter continually posts comments outside of community standards, we reserve the right to revoke their membership in the learning community.
