Great news! The Senate Ways and Means budget was released yesterday and the line item for Safe and Supportive Schools includes $500,000 in critical funding needed to continue the successful implementation of the Safe and Supportive Schools statute. Many thanks to our MA State Senators for supporting this important initiative to help ensure that all MA students have safe and supportive learning environments.
The budget now heads to the Conference Committee where House and Senate members will reconcile the differences between the House and Senate language for the line item. Please stay tuned! If necessary, we will alert you by e-mail to use the “Act Now” button on our website to contact both your Representative and Senator to request that the Conference Committee take action on behalf of the Safe and Supportive Schools Line Item.
